I live on a piece of land

That we all call

Montserrat

With a surprising volcano at its back –

How beautiful is that ?

Oh my !

What a beauty it is

When it throws out the magma and the red hot ash

And brightens up the sky.

Tourists come to my island

And pay for exploring:

Madame Soufriere, you’re so dear !

However – Soufriere, you make me cry

When you throw out your sulphur

You make me suffer

When you spit out your ash

Making me wash

Right in my backyard

You cause me pain

If I try to escape

It’s more problems again
